Hi,

Thanks for your reply! Just to make some things clear: I am not using the Notes Automation Classes to do things in the foreground. The goal of this project is to be able to manipulate the databases in the background.

Therefore I do not use an Edit button, and this is not needed as well since I am creating a new document. Also, when opening the database in the Notes application, I can see all the data entered by the program in the new document. This is where I can not edit...

I am assigning a field value for the "Form" field and this is not the problem.

You mentioned something about the scrips connected to certain fields may not trigger, and thus not enabling my machine generated document to be editable by the Notes client and the standard Edit mode? If all the fields of the document where added by the program, this problem would persist? At present I am not inputting all the available (300+) fields into the new document.
